Wonder Woman (Rebirth) Volume 2: Year One by Greg Rucka

Wonder Woman (Rebirth) Volume 2: Year One by Greg Rucka
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really like the way DC put together the first 2 volumes of the new Rebirth Wonder Woman. Volume 1, which takes place in the present, contains all the odd number issues 1, 3, etc all the way to #11. This volume contains all the odd number issues from 2, 4, 6, etc. all the way to #14. Volume 2 takes place in the past and retells Wonder Woman's origin story. It is still modern times but only several years ago, and covers the first year when Steve Trevor crashes on "Paradise" and Diana comes to the "world of men" as a hero and gets the moniker "Wonder Woman". It's very good and pretty much sticks to the original story, as I know it anyway, with only minor adjustments to make it feel more current for the time it is taking place. The art is good and the story is very satisfying. It will be interesting to see where the story goes from here as the next volume should start with issue 13, then move on to #15.
