An enjoyable, quick, fast-paced read. Lacking perhaps only in originality. At first, the plot and first few issues reminded me immediately of Phillip Jose Farmer's "Riverworld" series. (man! I need to read that again)The book also purports to be not necessarily against religion but likening it to myths when in reality this is a very religious tale if you know the analogies being used. It's a very good story, especially for non-believers who question what comes after life on earth. The tale suggests we go on to another world (1 of 2, depending on whether you were good or bad) where things, though strange, make more sense than this earthly world. To me, this was a working idea of Purgatory. But in this world people can die too. So where do they go then? Thought provoking both in a philosophical and theological sense.
